Cover shifts as needed for sick, vacation, parental leave, etc. Shifts run from 7p to 7a Response time within 30 minutes Utilize Vidyo Telehealth Responsibilities Working closely with Telehospitalists, daytime hospitalists, bedside nurses, and nursing supervisors during on call hours Managing cross coverage & low acuity admissions (as needed) on overnight shift for one or more hospitals, depending on the number of beds covered. Cross cover needs, include but not limited to entering orders, calling nurses, staff, patients, or families. Helping with transfers to higher level of care if needed overnight, transfer to ICU or other floors within same facility, calling in through Vidyo to evaluate patients if needed. Documentation per CMS & TH guidelines for H&Ps, cross coverage, significant events, handoff, etc. Staffing with assigned attending physician overnight for complex cross coverage needs and deteriorating patients and any other needs. Qualifications Nurse Practitioner Acute Care training preferred Board Certified 5 years of inpatient bedside experience REQUIRED CA, NY, OR, VT, WA and DC are un-hirable states Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state(s) included Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice Eligible to work in the United States We offer Shift based compensation with performance incentive A competitive Total Rewards program offers benefits that align with your needs and priorities, no matter what stage of life you are in. Responsibilities
The Telehospitalist NP will work closely with Telehospitalists, daytime hospitalists, bedside nurses, and nursing supervisors during on-call hours. Responsibilities include managing cross coverage and low acuity admissions, entering orders, and coordinating patient transfers as needed.
