The main goal for our Van Drivers is to keep our residents safe at all times, transporting residents for activities in the Willows, Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Martin Health Center. These can be events and appointments under the basic guidance of our Life Enrichment Director. Westminster Village is searching for a Van Driver available to work on an as needed basis. Westminster provides a competitive wage with an annual increase. The wage scale for this position is $16.07 - $18.07 per hour. Join our team and drive your career in a new direction!! Job Duties: Drive residents for a variety of events and appointments outside the village (daytime, evening, and weekends). Report unusual behavior, safety, or health concerns of residents they transport. Clean Van as needed. Take residents to various appointments as needed. Pick up mail when needed. Various errands as needed for staff. Keep the Director informed of maintenance needs and safety concerns as soon as issues arise. Fill up vehicles if gas is needed at beginning and end of shifts. Assist the residents in entering/exiting vehicles. Understand all operations of vehicle. Ensure all safety devices are utilized during vehicle operation. Ability to manually and electronically operate van lift(s). During breaks from driving will perform other tasks for Life Enrichment Department. Will be able to work as a team member. Other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience required. Good driving record and a valid driver’s license must obtain a J05 driving license upon hire.
Responsibilities
Safely transport residents to various appointments and events while monitoring their health and safety. Maintain the vehicle's cleanliness and fuel levels and assist residents with entering and exiting the van.
