Norfolk Golf Club, established in 1895, is a 9-hole semi-private golf course located in Simcoe, Ontario with a design influenced by Stanley Thompson.

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pro Shop Attendant to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless golfing experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for sales, and a keen interest in merchandising. As a Pro Shop Attendant, you will be responsible for assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining an organized and inviting retail environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in the golf industry, retail sales or customer service is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Familiarity with Lightspeed is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and team members.
    This role is part-time and seasonal through to the end of the golf season. Strong candidates will be asked to return for the 2026 season.

Responsibilities
  • Open or close the Pro Shop, with fleximitly to work evenings and weekend
  • Ensuring the pro shop is tidy and organized on a daily basis
  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the shop.
  • Check-in golfers as they arrive, ensuring public golfers have paid for their round
  • Process transactions accurately using POS systems, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
  • Prepare golf carts for golfers and clean carts after use.
  • Maintain an organized display of merchandise, ensuring that products are well-stocked and visually appealing.
  • Handle customer inquiries with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals while managing time effectively to meet customer needs.
  • Uphold high standards of customer service by addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
