Dean Mead is seeking a full-time Probate Paralegal, based out of our Vero Beach office’s Estate Planning practice. We offer a professional environment with a competitive compensation and benefits program. Duties and Responsibilities: Draft and file pleadings for summary, formal and ancillary administrations. Draft and file probate documents such as petitions, inventories, and accountings. Manage estate inventories and ensure accurate documentation of assets and liabilities. Prepare estate and gift tax returns. Organize and maintain case files, oversee case calendars, and monitor crucial deadlines. Maintain paper and electronic files in compliance with firm policies utilizing the firm’s document management system. Format and proofread correspondence, memos, and other legal documents from written and/or dictated attorney drafts. Schedule and calendar client meetings, as well as monitor attorney calendars. Submit billing entries, as well as expense reports. Ability to manage shifting priorities. Highly detail oriented and organized. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Education and Experience: Minimum of 3+ years’ relevant experience within an estate planning practice area (Required). Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and PDF (Required). Experience with legal management softwares, such as iManage and Surepoint (Preferred). Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Work Environment: This position reports to work in-person at our Vero Beach office.
