Description
Company Overview Imagine a piloted air taxi that takes off vertically, then quietly carries you and your fellow passengers over the congested city streets below, enabling you to spend more time with the people and places that matter most. At Joby, we've been working to make that dream a reality since 2009 and we're now in the final stages of certifying our aircraft with the FAA. With plans to launch our aircraft in the US and Dubai, we're now scaling manufacturing and preparing for the launch of our commercial service. Overview The Problem Reporting (PR) Process Administrator is responsible for the end-to-end coordination, tracking, and process assurance of the company’s Problem Reporting system. This role ensures that all problem reports—whether safety-related, functional, documentary, process-related, or otherwise—are accurately captured, efficiently triaged, and advanced through the appropriate governance channels. The PR Process Administrator provides structure and visibility to the Change Review Board (CRB) workflow and supports effective cross-functional engagement to achieve timely and compliant PR closure. Responsibilities Problem Report Intake & Triage Review newly submitted problem reports for completeness, clarity, and proper categorization (e.g., potential safety, functional, documentary, process, other). Coordinate with report originators to obtain missing information or correct deficiencies prior to CRB review. Ensure each PR meets the entry-criteria and contains sufficient detail to support classification and disposition discussions. Change Review Board (CRB) Coordination Prepare and publish daily CRB agendas to ensure the timely progression of PRs through classification, adjudication, and closure. Identify and invite appropriate stakeholders (engineering, quality, manufacturing, safety, etc.) based on the content and ownership of each PR. Serve as the administrative focal for CRB meetings, including agenda management, action tracking, and follow-up communications. PR Workflow & Dashboard Management Maintain the PR dashboard and supporting Kanban boards to provide accurate, real-time visibility into the PR lifecycle and bottlenecks. Track PR aging, workload distribution, task assignments, and status changes to support program-level reporting and decision-making. Ensure data integrity across all PR tools and systems. PR Closure Assurance Validate that proposed fixes or change activities have been executed in accordance with applicable processes and quality requirements. Confirm that closure artifacts (e.g., updated documentation, design changes, inspection results, test evidence) are correctly attached, reviewed, and approved. Ensure that all required verification steps, process reviews, and sign-offs have been completed prior to formal PR closure. Required High school diploma or equivalent required Experience coordinating formal engineering, quality, or configuration management processes in an aerospace or regulated engineering environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage high volumes of data, multiple stakeholders, and parallel workflows. Clear, concise communication and a high level of professionalism in cross-functional settings. Proficiency with dashboards, Kanban systems, and structured problem-reporting or change-control tools. Detail-oriented mindset with strong adherence to process discipline and configuration-controlled workflows. Desired Experience with Jira and Confluence Familiar with federal regulations Additional Information Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $93,200 - $124,200. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Joby also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan with a company match, an employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, and more.
