Description Procedure Nurse (G-Pod) Little Rock, AR Description The G-Pod nurse is responsible for providing and maintaining a high standard of nursing care for patients, completing the treatments for clinic patients, as well as providing nursing assistance to the doctors and other members of the primary healthcare team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for maintaining and completing the scheduled treatments for all clinic patients according to physician/provider’' orders. Perform initial assessment of patients presenting for procedures, working within expertise to manage care independently or refer to other services as necessary. Administer medications by injection with the appropriate legal authorization. Ordering necessary diagnostic tests. Must be able to speak with patients directly and schedule the appropriate procedures as needed. Monitor messages pertaining to G-pod specific demographic of patient and provide answers to other staff and patients. Educate patients about self-care that can contribute to the success of a treatment. Manage Pod supply inventory and orders. Recommends methods to ease symptoms associated with post treatment healing. Updating patient medical records and ensuring that medical information is accurate. Ensure infection control guidelines are maintained. Ensure confidentiality of information is always maintained. Must be able to make decisions, delegate and assure the welfare of the patient and staff. Perform other assigned duties as needed. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE BSN, RN, or LPN plus 3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be autonomous/self-starter, organized, solution based oriented and resourceful. Demonstrate great time management and impeccable customer service. Able to multitask easily. Medical clinic office experience preferred. BLS and ACLS required. Knowledge of electronic medical record and practice management system Athena strongly preferred. PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Must be able to use appropriate body mechanics techniques when making necessary patient transfers and helping patients with walking, dressing, etc. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds of supplies.
