Responsibilities

PURPOSE:

The Process Analyst is responsible for leading Supply Chain Management projects/initiatives related to business process development and improvement, and business process infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



    • Identify opportunities for improvement and propose initiatives in processes and service through data analysis and process reviews.

    • Manage the resolution of issues that are escalated to UPMC Management, as delegated.
    • Manage Procure to Pay key control reports and assessment testing and address process gaps
    • Oversee the relationships with third party vendors who provide outsourced services to UPMC Procure to Pay.
    • Assist in business process improvement training as needed.
    • Oversee Procure to Pay activities in the absence of the Manager, Procure to Pay.
    • Analyze Procure to Pay transactional issues. Design solutions to resolve the issues and improve the overall Procure to Pay process flow.
    • Continuous business process improvements over key areas of accountability.
    • Prepare and present project status reports.
    • Support and lead the implementation of operational efficiency initiatives.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field and three years work experience in business process design and optimization OR
    • Master’s degree in a related field and three years of general business experience
    • OR successful completion of the FMR program
    • Strong procurement, sourcing and payables skills required.
    • Must demonstrate a functional understanding of project management tools, methods, and resource allocation and other project management functions. Professional certifications (CPM, PPM, CPSM, APICS) a benefit
    • Ability to work under pressure and in tense situations.
    • Ability to perform mathematical calculations utilizing PC applications.
    • Ability to establish priorities and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
    • Courtesy in dealing with all customers is required.
    • Must be able to provide clear consistent direction and guidance to other departments within UPMC.
