Description
Objective: Support process improvement efforts, projects and initiatives of the company. This role aides in executing protocols to ensure the most efficient ways to best utilize people, machines, materials, information, etc to provide process improvements. The PP Manager begins to provide individual contribution to problem-solving efforts on selected projects to optimize worker efficiency, yield improvement, waste reduction and workplace optimization along with accurate cost standards and procedures.   Role and Responsibilities: ·         Create an auditing process of current production protocols in place at our sow                farms ·         Utilizing the auditing mechanism created determine efficiencies and ensure                    each sow farm is compliant in their process. ·         Develop a tracking system to determine inefficiencies and achieve 100%                        compliance of all processes across the system. ·         Supporting and verifying that anyone coming into contact with our pigs are                      handled, cared for and maintained according to our policy. ·         Conducting ongoing analysis of processes in line with industry regulations and              implement variations to maximize outcomes ·         Troubleshoot and improve process to maximize outcomes ·         Assist in modifying an updating animal welfare policies and ensure continuous              improvement, and monitor the effectives of current policies. ·         Prepare clear audit observations including workpapers, mobile devices, finding              and observations in accordance with auditing procedures. ·         Review violations with HR to determine validity and outcome of violation for the              employee. ·         Self-motived   Qualifications and Education Requirements ·         2-year animal science degree ·         5 + years in swine industry ·         Fluent in English and Spanish preferred   Work Environment ·         Agricultural swine environment in rural area 75% ·         Sedentary work in office setting 25%   Physical Requirements: ·         Standing, walking and ability to be on feet 8 to 10 hours per day ·         Frequent bending, reaching, squatting and kneeling ·         Frequent lifting of objects weighing 3-20 pounds ·         Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing ·         Ability to attend and participate in meetings of various lengths   Additional Requirements: ·         Travel will be required ·         Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation to get to work and attend                  meetings
