MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Physics, Engineering, or directly related field and five (5) years of experience as an automation engineer in a greenfield hot rolling mill optimizing the steel processes and machinery. Experience must include: Developing and implementing physical-mathematical models to automate steel industry processes including pelletizing, direct reduction, flat and long rolling, etc. utilizing Open VMS, C, C++, and C# (Windows and Linux operating system. Developing control systems in programmable logic controller (PLC)/Human-Machine Interface (HMI) platforms including Allen-Bradley and Siemens. Web report development utilizing HTML/JavaScript/PHP. Designing, developing, and implementing of hybrid models using Artificial intelligence tools such as neural networks, machine learning, and cluster algorithms. Knowledge of database operations and development utilizing SQL Server and Oracle. Specialized postsecondary coursework in Thermomechanical Processing of Metals and the Technology of Flat Rolling required.
