Description

At Aguas de Valencia International, reliable instrumentation, automation, and control systems are essential to ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations. We are looking for an experienced Instrumentation & Control Engineer to support the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our SCADA, PLC, HMI, and instrumentation systems at our wastewater treatment plant in Taif.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesManage, maintain, and troubleshoot the plant's SCADA, PLC, HMI, instrumentation, and Data Historian systems.
  • Develop, modify, and upgrade PLC logic and HMI applications for existing plant control systems.
  • Manage and maintain SCADA systems, touch screens, PCs, and related control equipment.
  • Review plant operations and verify the correct transmission of signals and data from instrumentation sensors.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of SCADA, PLC, HMI, and instrumentation systems.
  • Maintain control system documentation, configurations, and system backups.
  • Troubleshoot PLC/HMI programming and control system issues.
  • Prepare the annual critical spare parts requirements for instrumentation and control systems.
  • Support continuous improvement, digital development, and optimization of plant control systems.
  • Participate in monthly Instrumentation & Control (I&C) client meetings.
  • Supervise assigned activities and coordinate with operators, colleagues, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with QHSE requirements and company procedures.



  • RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, preferably with specialization in the integration of industrial systems.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the maintenance of wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SCADA, PLC, HMI, instrumentation, and industrial control systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage SCADA and Controls projects within required timelines and budgets.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare technical reports and documentation.
  • Strong planning, conceptual analysis, and organizational skills.
  • Project management and supervision capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and deliver results effectively.
