Our Opportunity Work Location: Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people. Roster: 8D/6R/8D/6R/7N/7R – FIFO ex Perth or Residential We are currently seeking a motivated Process Control Technician/Electrician to join our Port Hedland Operations. You will be supported by a team of experts and be responsible for support, design, integration and improvements within the control system. Key Responsibilities Liaise with relevant departments to provide technical solutions for operational support and projects Support the ongoing maintenance of control systems assets including PLCs, servers, network and communication equipment, and field devices Commissioning of drives, instrumentation, and miscellaneous field devices Design and develop new control systems including testing, maintaining and modifying existing systems to ensure optimal utilisation Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for process control systems Qualifications and Experience Electrical Trade Certificate and Current WA Electrical A Class License Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance within the mining or heavy industry. Experience with ABB and Siemens Variable Speed Drives (VSD) is highly desirable. Working knowledge of engineering design and operation principles applicable to the fields of electrical and instrumentation engineering for process plants including stackers, reclaimers, shiploaders and car dumpers Automation / instrumentation certificate (Desirable) Experience with GE PLC or Schneider PLC (Desirable) About Us Be part of something big.
