The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing process control systems to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. This role involves collaborating with cross- functional teams, troubleshooting issues and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Essential Responsibilities: 2-8 years’ experience in developing Controls Documentation for process control applications Process Controls Document Preparation I.e. Control Narrative or Control philosophy, Operation sequence Chart, Controls Logic Chart, Cause & Effect etc. Maintaining Standard Process Controls Document Database Coordination with other engineering departments. Participate in Design Review Meeting and provide input in terms of Process Controls. Conduct Controls Design reviews on the Projects Attend HAZOP, SIL, Meetings and Provide inputs in terms of Process Controls. Experience/Understanding of PLC, HMI/ SCADA etc. control system platforms (industrial automation) Understanding of P&IDs, PFDs, Process Controls and Electrical Design concepts. Understanding of hydraulics and fundamentals of fluid mechanics. Understanding of basic water chemistry. Coordinating with Programmer/ Controls Validation/Testing Engineer for implementation of Controls Per the Standards and Requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including liaising, reporting, documentation, and presentations) Proven ability to follow set of procedures and standards (company standards & ISO) and extrapolate new concepts from established standards Proven ability to quickly shift focus from one technical issue to another while maintaining commitment to accuracy and precision Troubleshoot Control System issues and ensure minimal downtime during commissioning. Key Skills required Process Controls Documentation Like Control Narrative, Control Philosophy, Logic Diagrams, Cause and Effect, Functional Description, operation sequence chart etc. Proficiency in PLC, HMI/ SCADA & DCS Systems (Ex: Rockwell, Siemens, Wonderware) Strong knowledge of Process Automation and Control Loop tuning (PID control) Excellent problem- solving skills. Previous Experience in Water Industry (preferred) Process Industry Commissioning experience (preferred) Qualifications B.E. or B. Tech in Instrumentation & Controls/ Electronics/ Electrical etc. -- Certification in a process control or automation (ex: ISA, Rockwell/ Siemens) is a plus.
