The Process Coordinator supports Sherwood’s mission by ensuring the effective implementation of special education services and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This position collaborates closely with the Director of Special Education, Assistant Director, teachers, and related service providers to ensure instructional practices align with each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP), support staff development, and maintain accurate and timely documentation. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Collaborate with the Director of Special Education to oversee and support the implementation of special education services across the program. Provide direct consultation, guidance, and coaching to special education teachers and related service providers to ensure instructional practices are aligned with IEP goals and grounded in evidence-based strategies. Facilitate the collection, organization, and analysis of student and program data to inform instruction, monitor progress toward IEP goals, and support continuous improvement. Assist in the planning and delivery of high-quality professional development focused on effective instructional practices within the IEP process. Serve as Sherwood Autism Center’s representative in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and other decision-making meetings, ensuring compliance and student-centered planning. Monitor and promote compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), the Missouri State Plan for Special Education, and Sherwood’s local compliance procedures. Partner with educational teams to ensure collaboration, clear communication, and inclusive support for students with disabilities as written within the IEP. Utilize technology systems effectively to manage documentation, maintain accurate student records, and ensure timely submission of required reports. Perform other duties as assigned or required to support program operations and student success. Requirements Required Qualifications 3+ Years Experience as a Process Coordinator Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field. Valid Missouri certification in Special Education. In-depth knowledge of the special education process and instructional alignment within the IEP. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Proficient in the use of technology for documentation and data management. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be deemed appropriate and acceptable by administration.
