  • MS Chemical Engineer

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 20 years of experience in R&D and Manufacturing/Engineering areas in an international environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Very good technical knowledge of LYB proprietary Spheripol and Catalloy technologies.
  • Good overall knowledge of the other LYB PP technologies.
  • Good engineering skills.
  • Knowledge of LYB policies and procedures (DoA, travel policy, relationships with third parties, Ethics and Compliance).
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proficient in main computer applications.
  • General knowledge of the technical and economical competitive environment in which the Company operates.
  • Awareness of the Company Organization and Company Strategy.
Responsibilities
  • Assess the technical competitiveness of the Spheripol and Catalloy technologies and identify areas of process improvements where innovation is required.
  • Provide the process design for the innovation.
  • Identify the critical technical issues relevant to the process in the commercial Spheripol and Catalloy plants operated by LYB, LYB JVs or Licensees and design and support the implementation of the technical solutions.
  • Coordinate and execute the process design and scale up for Spheripol and Catalloy technologies, coordinate and provide Process Design activities for the implementation of commercial scale Spheripol and Catalloy projects inside LYB, coordinate and provide support for LYB Spheripol and Catalloy plant start-ups.
  • Coordinate and execute the Process Design activities to support the licensing of the Spheripol and Catalloy technologies to third parties, including the assistance for technical proposal preparation and their review with potential Licensees.
  • Provide the process design activities to guarantee a worldwide homogeneity in the process modifications and in the updating of the commercial Spheripol and Catalloy plants.
  • Coordinate the team and ensure its development.
