Job Title: Process Development Engineer

Role OverviewBEPC is seeking a Process Development Engineer to support advanced manufacturing and product development initiatives for our client in the defense industry. This role involves hands-on development and optimization of complex materials processes, including wet etch/clean, metal braze, epoxy application, and wire bonding. The ideal candidate has a solid background in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or a related discipline, and a track record of innovation and excellence in process engineering.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or Chemical Engineering.
  • 2–4 years of experience in process development or related engineering fields.
  • Experience working with HF, metal etchants, solvents, acid/base chemical cleans, and epoxies.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies and related statistical tools.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, optimize, and evaluate manufacturing processes involving wet etching, metal brazing, epoxy application, and wire bonding.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure timely project delivery and process integration.
  • Use Six Sigma tools (e.g., FMEA, DOE, Gauge R&R) to ensure quality and reliability in process development.
  • Select and operate appropriate metrology tools to validate process parameters and product quality.
  • Provide detailed documentation and reporting of process development outcomes.
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety and compliance standards in a lab/manufacturing environment.
