We’re Hiring: Process Development Engineer (ALD) Are you excited by thin-film technology and hands-on process development? At Beneq, a global leader in Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD), we’re looking for a Process Development Engineer to join our Semiconductor Business Unit and help shape the next generation of ALD solutions. In this role, you’ll work at the heart of ALD process development - planning, testing, optimizing, and validating thermal and plasma ALD processes for high-performance semiconductor applications worldwide. You’ll gain hands-on cleanroom experience, turn data into insight, and collaborate closely with experts across engineering and product teams to drive performance, scalability, and innovation. Key Responsibilities Plan, develop, test, and optimize ALD processes in line with business needs and technology roadmaps Perform process validation, data analysis, and documentation of results and best practices Prepare work instructions, plans, and reports for internal and customer use Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement initiatives, including new materials and methods Maintain ALD and metrology equipment and ensure a clean and safe cleanroom environment What We’re Looking For University degree or relevant work experience (Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or similar preferred) 3+ years of experience in cleanroom-based process development or experimentation Experience in thin-film deposition or semiconductor processing; ALD experience is a plus Familiarity with DOE, SPC, Six Sigma, and data analysis tools (JMP preferred, Python, MATLAB, etc.) Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Fluent written and spoken English Why Beneq?
