PROCESS DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER - SWORDS

Our client is seeking an innovative and self-motivated Process Development Engineer responsible for delivering automated process equipment into a production environment.
This role spans the entire development lifecycle, from concept design to validation and implementation within production. It offers an excellent opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers on the development of new products and the improvement of processes for established product lines.
The position is varied, requiring strong technical expertise, data analysis, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a robust technical background and at least three years of experience in a medium-to-high volume mechanical/manufacturing environment.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Educated to at least degree level (2:1 or above) in Mechatronic Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience role with a proven track record of delivering projects.
  • A good knowledge of PLC/HMI programming, sensors, software and control systems.
  • A good knowledge of materials and manufacturing techniques.
  • Good project planning and project management skills.
  • Competent in the use of 3D CAD packages
  • Familiar with geometric tolerancing, tolerance stacks, limits and fit
  • Hold a full clean driving license.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Familiarity with Siemens NX (training can be provided).
  • Understanding of CE requirements and machinery directives.
  • Knowledge of metrology, measurement techniques, and calibration processes.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and integrate automated process equipment into production environments.
  • Create practical automated systems, including software for equipment control.
  • Support the process development of new products in collaboration with product teams.
  • Understand stakeholder requirements and develop tailored solutions.
  • Justify, specify, and implement new process equipment.
