Description

Job Title: Process Development Engineer II
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Employment Type: 12-month contract with potential extension, Full time
Pay Rate: $61.00 - $71.00 per hour (Determined based on experience)
Travel: Approximately 10% (domestic and international, based on business needs)
Note: This is a W2 only role — C2C, C2H will not be considered

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biomedical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering (or related).

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5 years in medical device, IVD, or GMP/ISO-regulated manufacturing.
  • Experience in process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and technology transfer.
  • Familiarity with microfluidics, reagent formulation, surface chemistry, or cartridge production is preferred.
  • Hands-on exposure to:
  • Biosensor/semiconductor manufacturing
  • Automated fluid handling and cleanroom practices
  • DOE, SPC, and statistical tools like JMP or Minitab
  • ERP systems (SAP preferred)

SKILLS:

  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to independently lead projects and implement CTQ metrics.
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt preferred (or attainable within 12 months).
