CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Creates clear, detailed reports, drawings, and SOPs to support knowledge transfer across teams.
  • Communicates complex technical findings in a way that is accessible to engineers, production operators, and leadership.
  • Works effectively with colleagues across R&D, operations, and scale-up teams to align prototypes with organizational needs.
  • Actively contributes to a team culture of knowledge sharing, feedback, and continuous improvement.
  • Thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments by quickly learning new tools, technologies, and methods.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field.

Responsibilities

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

The Process Development Engineer will be responsible for Sixone’s internal prototyping work and building for reliability. The goal of this role is to turn innovative concepts into robust, well-documented, and reliable engineering solutions. This team will be part of Sixone’s development pipeline, testing new recycling verticals and evaluating new process technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • New Product Introduction (NPI): Lead the development and introduction of new products and processes.
  • Prototyping and Iterative Testing: Design, build, and test prototypes to validate concepts and improve performance.
  • Design for Reliability and Robustness: Directly manage material selection, conduct hands-on construction analysis, and implement process controls to guarantee the durability and quality of all engineered solutions.
  • Documentation and Data Analysis: Create detailed reports and analyze data from experiments to inform design decisions and support the scale-up team.
  • Maintenance and Lifecycle Management: Define and execute maintenance protocols and preventative measures for internal systems and diagnose and resolve complex or novel issues to ensure long-term functionality.
