Description
We are seeking a Process Development Manager to lead a team of Process Development Engineers responsible for performance research and optimization of Magnus Metal’s Digital Casting™ systems. This is a hands-on technical leadership role at the heart of our industrialization journey — shaping how digital casting evolves from R&D platform to scalable production infrastructure. You will define research strategy, ensure technical rigor, and align system performance direction with the company’s technology roadmap and commercial lighthouse engagements. Duties and Responsibilities Strategic Technical Leadership Define and drive system performance research strategy Align process development roadmap with company industrialization goals Serve as a key interface to the CTO on technology direction and performance milestones Translate system insights into long-term scalability and digital manufacturing vision Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers Establish KPIs, technical standards, and research methodology Foster a culture of structured experimentation and engineering excellence Build cross-functional trust across materials, automation, software, and operations Experimental & System Oversight Oversee DOE planning, execution quality, and analytical rigor Ensure robust performance validation across modules and full systems Drive system-level optimization impacting mechanical performance, repeatability, and production stability Cross-Functional & External Alignment Work closely with R&D, automation, quality, and operations teams Interface with executive leadership including the CTO Support lighthouse partner engagements with data-backed performance validation Lead training initiatives and support system-related IP activities Requirements Education M.Sc. in Chemistry, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field Experience 7–10+ years in process development, casting systems, or industrial performance engineering 2–3+ years of leadership experience Proven experience in complex multidisciplinary systems Background in metal casting, metallurgy, additive manufacturing, or heavy industrial equipment Strong expertise in DOE and data-driven optimization Leadership Profile Strategic thinker with hands-on technical depth Comfortable operating between executive discussions and shop-floor experimentation Strong presentation skills, including executive-level communication Structured, organized, and execution-driven Strong communication skills in multicultural environments High learning agility Flexibility under technical and schedule constraints Proactive, positive attitude This is his.her passion Fluent English
