As a Process Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in designing and optimizing manufacturing processes for display and semiconductor manufacturing technologies. You will collect and analyze data, perform hardware characterization, and troubleshoot engineering issues. You'll also measure film properties, generate technical documentation, and engage with customers to resolve concerns. Process Engineers collaborate with vendors and suppliers, and become familiar with implementing new technologies and products. You will experiment, learn, and collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the semiconductor and display industries, partnering with our globally recognized R&D teams on state-of-the-art research and development projects. Job Description: General Profile: As a Process Engineer, you will operate on cutting-edge technology, harnessing atomic precision, material science, and surface engineering to push technical boundaries. Your role involves developing new and advanced process formulations, defining equipment hardware to meet processing requirements, evaluating test data, and coordinating design requirements to ensure compatibility of processing methods. Your expertise and knowledge play a crucial role our customers success, making an impact on the next generation of semiconductor breakthroughs. Key Responsibilities Developing new or modified process formulations (e.g., in deposition, etch, or diffusion), defining equipment specifications, and facilitating the smooth transfer of new technologies from R&D to high-volume manufacturing Utilizing statistical tools and methodologies like Design of Experiments (DOE) and JMP/Minitab software to analyze complex data sets and drive data-driven decisions Responsible for performing process engineering research, development, and evaluation in support of the company’s complex semiconductor capital equipment and systems. Reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication and evaluation of products. Involvement may begin at any step from pilot plant to full-scale manufacturing. May conceive and plan projects involving definition and selection of new concepts and approaches in the processing or development of new processes. Compiles and evaluates test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process specifications. Supports customer technology managers in the planning, data collection, analysis, and reporting of customer demos to defend existing process applications. Works with customer and senior engineers cross functionally to understand roadmaps, process flow, inflection points, requirements and business issues/ challenges. Actively addresses any potential issues at the customer site and provide alternative solution. Works with customer to demonstrate and introduce new technologies at customer sites through demos, on site evaluations, and new tool qualifications. Drives the adoption of new technology at the customer site. Acts as single point of contact accountable for process, hardware, software, etc. related requests from customer and work with cross-functional teams within BU in the planning, data collection, analysis, and reporting of customer demos to defend existing process applications. Works with suppliers to make sure required parts and supplies are available. Contributes to product development and release activities. Qualifications: Master’s /Bachelor’s degree/PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Physics or related field with 2+ years’ experience; or equivalent experience.
