Description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Process Engineer to lead key engineering projects and mentor fellow engineers and technicians. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong analytical mindset and proven expertise in structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, Six Sigma, or equivalent. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic R&D environment, where they will drive product and process innovation from concept to implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead development and optimization of manufacturing processes and product designs, including prototyping, testing, and validation.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Process Engineers and Technicians.
  • Present technical solutions and capabilities to prospective customers and partners.
  • Plan and execute customer demonstrations, including equipment and process walk-throughs.
  • Offer remote and on-site process support to customers, sales teams, and service personnel.
  • Design, optimize, and document new manufacturing processes and workflows.
  • Define equipment configurations and technical specifications based on customer requirements.
  • Conduct training sessions for internal teams and external clients on process operations.
  • Perform on-site acceptance testing and validation of new equipment.
  • Design and execute parametric studies and development experiments to improve performance and yield.
  • Prepare and present detailed technical reports, white papers, and presentations.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and technical forums.
  • Collaborate with external research organizations and academic institutions on joint R&D initiatives.
  • Travel domestically and internationally up to 50% as needed; valid passport required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Chemical, Mechanical, or Materials Science.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in process engineering, ideally in a manufacturing or R&D setting.
  • Strong problem-solving background with formal training in methodologies such as 8D, Six Sigma, or Kepner-Tregoe.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and statistical analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Minitab, Excel).
  • Experience with semiconductor processes, MEMS fabrication, or IC packaging preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage small-scale engineering projects from concept to deployment.
  • Comfortable working with chemicals and in cleanroom or lab environments.
