QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably within a lighting or similar electro-mechanical assembly environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including assembly, fabrication, and material flow.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for process layout and fixture design.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP).

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, ensuring quality, and supporting the production of our innovative luminaire products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives within our manufacturing operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze and improve existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize costs.
  • Develop and implement standardized work instructions, process documentation, and visual aids.
  • Identify and resolve manufacturing issues through problem-solving methodologies (e.g., root cause analysis, 8D).
  • Support the introduction of new products into manufacturing, ensuring smooth and efficient transitions.
  • Develop and implement process control plans and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Collaborate with the Quality, Production, and Maintenance teams to address process-related concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
  • Contribute to cost reduction initiatives through process optimization and material efficiency improvements.
