Description

Entech Staffing Solutions is seeking a Senior Processing Engineer with specialized experience in GM Body in White automation to join our team in Warren, MI. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in evaluating customer products and specifications to develop efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes that meet customer requirements. This position requires a high level of technical expertise in processing, system layout, and automotive manufacturing systems. Located in Sterling Heights and paying up to $39.28 per hour.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate degree from a two-year college, university, or technical school OR
  • One to five years of related experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing costs and equipment specifications
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent interpretation and communication of technical documentation
  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance

Responsibilities
  • Develop and validate manufacturing processes for GM Body in White projects.
  • Assist with all aspects of processing, including:
  • Process development and verification
  • System layout and cycle time analysis
  • Ergonomic evaluations and staging
  • Joining equipment selection and validation (Weld, SPR, TOX, etc.)
  • Product/process change impact assessments
  • Spare parts and documentation/manuals development
  • Interpret automotive product drawings and manufacturing specifications.
  • Collaborate with Throughput Simulation and Robot Simulation Operators to ensure process feasibility.
  • Generate quotes and cost estimates for process designs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Adhere to quality systems and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Provide progress reports and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Perform other departmental tasks as needed.
