As a Process Engineer based at our Springvale site, you’ll play a vital role in improving our manufacturing performance by driving process optimization, eliminating losses, and supporting a culture of continuous improvement. About the Role: In this role, you’ll contribute to site performance by analyzing processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing solutions aligned with Essity’s TPM and Operational Excellence frameworks. Working closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams, you’ll play a key part in enhancing safety, productivity, efficiency, and product quality across the site. Your work will directly contribute to cost reduction, waste elimination, process stability, and capability building. What You Will Do: Champion safe work practices and contribute to a strong safety culture. Raise and address safety concerns with confidence and care. Optimize process parameters to improve OEE, reduce waste, and lower cost per unit. Develop and implement process control strategies and standardize best operating conditions. Use data analytics to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities. Lead and support TPM activities including Autonomous Maintenance, Focused Improvement, and Planned Maintenance. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using DMAIC, RCA, and other problem‑solving methods. Provide technical support to resolve process disturbances affecting quality, cost, safety, or productivity. Coach operators and frontline leaders in root cause analysis and problem‑solving tools. Review performance data daily and contribute insights to Daily Operations Meetings. Participate in planning and execution of scheduled asset shutdowns. Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, OE, Quality, and Safety teams to enhance performance. Who You Are: You are a proactive problem‑solver with strong analytical skills, a passion for improving manufacturing processes, and have a minimum of three years’ experience in a process, engineering, or manufacturing environment. You bring: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or similar). Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar CI methodologies. Strong technical problem‑solving capability. Proficiency in data analysis and Excel, including statistical techniques. Experience leading or contributing to CI projects. Nice to have: Green or Black Belt- Six Sigma certification Experience with TPM or Lean manufacturing systems. Background in high‑speed FMCG, food, pharmaceutical, printing, or packaging environments.
