Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in process improvement, equipment validation, new product commercialization, and continuous improvement initiatives within a regulated food manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, shelf life, and yield. Analyze Loss of Sterility (LOS) and spoilage data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions. Lead capital projects from concept through commissioning, including equipment validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and FDA compliance. Support new product development, process design, and commercialization efforts. Design, install, commission, and troubleshoot production equipment and process improvements. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and collaborate with Quality, Production, and Engineering teams. Develop vendor partnerships and identify cost-saving opportunities. Apply statistical analysis and continuous improvement tools to enhance plant performance. Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, FDA, and plant safety requirements. Lead cross-functional projects and support other engineering initiatives as assigned. Requirements Required Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Strong project management and analytical skills. Mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving abilities. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed. Preferred Master's degree in Engineering. 3+ years of engineering experience in the food or beverage industry, preferably in an aseptic processing environment. Experience with thermal processing, FDA validation, and capital projects. Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Wisconsin Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or Project Management certification.
