QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related discipline.
  • Practical experience in high-volume manufacturing environments, preferably within precision engineering, electronics assembly, or semiconductor production.
  • Strong command of structured troubleshooting methods and optimization techniques for automated equipment.
  • Proficiency in statistical tools, DOE methodologies, and data interpretation for process development and refinement.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with semiconductor backend processes such as wire bonding or similar assembly equipment.
  • Experience setting up and tuning high-precision machinery or optical components in a cleanroom or R&D setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings clearly and work across diverse teams.

Responsibilities
  • Lead structured experimentation and process characterization to optimize semiconductor assembly workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to enhance product reliability, improve yield, and streamline manufacturing operations.
  • Introduce and validate new materials, technologies, and automation concepts to support next-generation manufacturing requirements.
  • Analyze process capability and establish robust, standardized operating procedures for precision assembly tools and systems.
  • Support proof-of-concept testing through the setup, calibration, and refinement of optical systems and related components.
  • Apply statistical analysis, data modeling, and Design of Experiments (DOE) to identify trends and enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Propose and implement corrective actions based on root cause analysis and performance feedback loops.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and technical reports to support continuous process enhancement.
