Description
Resumen Analyzes and implements manufacturing engineering activities and plans providing technical support. Understand process and test requirements, then specify, design and implement necessary fixtures to build and test the products. Understands and drives the LEAN initiative. Responsabilidades Principal Responsibilities: Lead in continuous improvement efforts in products/processes to support plant objectives of SQCDM (safety, quality, cost, delivery and moral). Review existing and proposed product designs for ease of manufacture and make recommendations that will enhance the quality and productivity of the product. Evaluate activities related with new products and current design changes and process. Lead and participate in project team activities involving process improvements, value analysis, design reviews, product transfer and startup, and NPI (New Product Introduction), establish and enhance PFMEA, Control Plan, HOE. Perform duties that utilize up-to-date tools and techniques in the areas of predetermined time standards, line balancing, simulation modeling, cost estimation, manpower planning, productivity, KANBAN and continuous improvement, poka yoke and fixtures. Coordinate programs based on long range activity forecasts including analysis, justification and recommendations for facilities, equipment and/or manpower requirements. Maintain a high level of technical knowledge in advanced manufacturing technology in the areas of plant productivity and product manufacturability/Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential. Requirements: Bachelor degree of Engineering or related careers, and more than three years of experience related process and/or product experience in a manufacturing environment. Must possess the following key competencies (in no particular order): Engineering principals related to mechanical and electrical. Application of Lean Manufacturing tools. Analytical and empirical problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with good planning and judgment. Computer Skills.
