The Process Engineer is responsible for providing troubleshooting, process analyses, optimization and improvement support to Irving Forest Services within the mill Technical and Operations groups.

  • Lead mill investigations, trials and improvement projects
  • Analyze process trends, interpreting data and proposing solutions.
  • Work to improve process, environmental and quality related initiatives.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Communicate process changes all while adhering to and promoting safe work practices.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of Pulp & Paper industry experience is required
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Well-developed organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Interest in a variety of business functions, such as Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Technical, Project Management and Safety
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Curiosity and persistence - you are a problem-solver with natural tendency to ask questions
  • Strong focus on safety and process improvement
  • Drive, initiative, teamwork
  • Language required: English
