Description

Our client an aerospace company located in Southwick, MA is looking for a Process Engineer for a 1st shift Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm direct hire opportunity. The Process Engineer will be responsible for providing engineering support to the manufacturing operation on a daily basis. This position will also support the development of new processes, improving existing processes and implementing process changes.

SKILLS NEEDED:

  • Associate Degree in an Engineering field or High school diploma and 3 years minimum experience in the aerospace manufacturing industry
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and documentation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team atmosphere
  • Proficient in 2D and 3D cad software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to read and understand blueprint requirements

Responsibilities
  • Support the creation of process documentation and operating instructions
  • Design manufacturing fixtures and tooling, create finished drawings
  • Work closely with engineering quality and operations associates to identify and implement process improvements
  • Perform time studies as needed to update standard travelers and identify areas for improvement
  • Identify opportunities to reduce cost, improve manufacturability and reduce scrap
  • Assist the quality department with non-conformance investigation including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
