The Group’s Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) operates a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility and is a leading and innovative provider of the highest quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef, and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland We are seeking applications for the position of Process Engineer based at our Killeshadra Site, Co Cavan.
The Role Reporting to the Engineering Manager and the Site Manager you enable Improvements in the effectiveness and rigour of manufacturing processes and systems to deliver operational results. Process Engineers is a key resource to make the manufacturing processes more reliable, stable and capable through which they enable measurable improvement in machine reliability, quality and responsiveness: Demonstrating technical mastery, the Process Engineer will enable manufacturing departments to challenge current thinking and established new work processes/systems to deliver a sustainable breakthrough in operational results.
The Person Will train and become expert in core dairy process and packing operation operations on the Killeshandra site Master Reliability engineering methodology and tools to enable process reliability improvements and reduction in unplanned equipment downtime (breakdowns, minor stops) Daily Management Systems defined and implemented to ensure key results in key processes are improved & maintained .
An excellent communicator at all levels the successful applicant will thrive on problem solving, have strong interpersonal skills and be decisive under pressure.
AN ENGINEERING/FOOD SCIENCE QUALIFICATION, AN IOSH MANAGING SAFELY QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE OF CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT TOOLS AND/OR DAIRY/UHT/FOOD MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE WOULD BE DESIRABLE.
