Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the strategic development and expansion of bioformulation topics within the framework of Evonik’s new growth core “Advanced Precision Biosolutions”, focusing on particle-specific issues in process engineering
- You will use your expertise to develop and optimize innovative technologies, methods and formulation concepts in the field of particle technology
- You will work at the interface between process engineering, chemistry and biology and drive projects within the “Bioformulation & Delivery” cluster
- In close cooperation with our internal research and development teams, you will take over the technical and scientific planning, coordination and execution of experiments on a laboratory, pilot plant and operational scale and carefully evaluate them
- You will coordinate project work and the evaluation of results in cooperation with internal and external partners, ensuring compliance with quality standards
- Through your strong interdisciplinary project work, you promote international cooperation and successfully coordinate projects in flat hierarchies and matrix structures
- You maintain cooperation with external research institutions and suppliers and actively participate in cross-committee working groups
Requirements
- You have a successfully completed master’s degree in engineering with a focus on process engineering, chemical/biochemical engineering with a focus on particle technology, mechanical process engineering, biotechnology or life science; a doctorate is an advantage
- Your extensive expertise in particle technology covers a wide range of topics, including solids handling, drying technology, dispersing and milling, agglomeration and granulation, coating, and solid-liquid separation
- Ideally, you have a strong background in biotechnology, including cell structure, the basics of cell metabolism and industrial biotechnology
- You have a strong command of written and spoken German and English and communicate confidently at all levels
- Your profile is rounded off by a confident manner, assertiveness and the ability to work in a team, as well as a high level of initiative and commitment
