Description

THE ROLE

As a Process Engineer, the primary responsibility is to perform process design and analysis of complex deliverables such as conceptual process design, process simulations, mass balance, P&ID and PFD development work includes conceptual studies, cost and planning studies, design calculations and equipment / material specification. This role also provides technical support as required, and assists in the preparation of estimates, quotes and tenders.

This permanent, full time position operates Monday to Friday and may include site visits when required.

Reporting to the Lead Process Engineer, core duties include:

  • Assist in the preparation of PFDs, P&IDs and process design documentation for water and wastewater systems
  • Support the team in process calculations, hydraulic analysis and value engineering activities
  • Contribute to commissioning, optimisation and technical support for treatment plant projects
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, clients and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
  • Follow and contribute to HSEQ requirements, including reporting incidents and identifying areas for improvement


SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will be willing to learn and grow in an expanding company, taking on new challenges. You will also have:

  • A qualification in Process or Chemical Engineering; recent graduate or 1 year experience
  • Previous experience in water or waste water is preferred
  • Strong communication skills, able to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to plan and prioritise work effectively, managing competing tasks to meet deadlines
  • Problem-solving mindset, with initiative to propose practical, effective solutions
  • Comfortable using simulation or process design software
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to HSEQ standards
