Operating alongside York Building Products’ Belvedere plant, we process over 10,000 tons of alluvial sand and gravel daily and produce specialized low-iron quartz materials and ultra-high-purity silica products for a growing customer base. In 2024, we expanded our capabilities with new wet and dry grinding mills, allowing us to produce customized silica powders to exact customer specifications. What You’ll Do As our Process Engineer, you’ll be at the center of plant performance, process optimization, and product quality. One day you may be troubleshooting production challenges on the floor, and the next you could be analyzing data trends, improving automation systems, or leading a process improvement initiative. In This Role, You Will: Analyze and optimize quartz beneficiation and silica processing operations Improve plant efficiency, reliability, and product quality Troubleshoot process and equipment issues with production teams Collect and analyze process data to identify trends and improvement opportunities Develop and refine operating procedures and process documentation Support CAPEX and OPEX projects from planning through implementation Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to drive continuous improvement Implement process controls and SPC techniques to reduce variability Lead process validation and root cause analysis efforts Train and support plant personnel on new systems, procedures, and equipment Jump in and support plant operations when needed — we’re a team-first environment What Success Looks Like You’ll help us: Maximize plant performance and operational efficiency Consistently hit product quality targets Improve reliability, throughput, and process control Support a safe, sustainable, and high-performing operation What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who is: Analytical and data-driven Comfortable working both in the plant and behind the computer A strong communicator and collaborative teammate Naturally curious with a continuous improvement mindset Hands-on, adaptable, and eager to solve problems Experience with manufacturing, mineral processing, process engineering, quality systems, or industrial operations is highly valued.
