QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in process engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with process simulation and data analysis tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Aspen HYSYS, Minitab).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of quality systems (ISO, GMP) and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE:

The Process Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing industrial processes and systems to increase efficiency, reduce costs, ensure quality, and maintain safety standards. This role works closely with cross-functional teams including production, quality, maintenance, and R&D.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyse current production processes and identify opportunities for improvements.
  • Design, develop, and implement new processes or equipment modifications.
  • Monitor and control process parameters to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct time studies, cost analyses, and risk assessments.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
  • Collaborate with quality and safety teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Prepare documentation including process flow diagrams (PFDs), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical reports.
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff.
  • Participate in equipment commissioning and process validation.
