Description

KEY SKILLS:

  • Perform necessary process simulations (Aspen HYSYS, Flare System, EDR).
  • Develop line sizing, PSV sizing, and equipment & instrument process data sheets.
  • Assemble detailed design criteria, PFDs, P&IDs, Line Lists, Control Narratives and SDK.
  • Coordinate design work and projects with other disciplines in a team setting.
  • Provide proven problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to various situations.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs
  • Produce project deliverables that are technically accurate and within budget and schedule.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with the project team and other discipline groups.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects independently.
  • Experience assisting engineering leads and managers.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to self-check and produce accurate deliverables.
  • Must possess strong oral and written communication skills.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Chemical engineering or related engineering degree or diploma preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years experience in upstream Oil and Gas production facilities in Western Canada.
  • APEGA registered.
  • Experience in natural gas processing (sweet and sour), including separation, compression, dehydration, refrigeration, and sweetening.
  • Knowledge of codes, standards & regulatory requirements: ASME, ANSI, B31.3, CSA Z662, ABSA Pressure Piping Registration, API 520, API 2000 etc.
  • Understanding the AER and BCER regulatory process is an asset.
  • Construction, commissioning & operations experience is an asset.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and written with clients and vendors.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
