We have been one of the leading suppliers of Environmental Control Solutions for the Aluminum industry for more than 50 years based in Oslo and our gas treatment plants can be found all over the globe.
We are getting ready for new challenges and need more engineers! As a Process Engineer you will be responsible for developing and providing process & technology expertise in Projects and Tenders. The Process Engineer will typically follow the projects from start to end with a wide variety of tasks ranging from sizing of gas treatment equipment, to commissioning and site advisory at locations worldwide.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • M.Sc. in engineering or technology
  • Technical competency in Environmental Control Systems Technology is an advantage
  • Knowledge of some of the following areas: piping design, valve sizing, rotating equipment, thermal calculations/heat transfer, heat exchanger, water treatment systems, cooling systems, materials handling systems is desirable
  • Knowledge of relevant measurement- and analyzing methods incl. international standards and instrumental methods and equipment is desirable
  • Good computer skills, including familiarity with spreadsheets
  • Fluent in written & spoken Norwegian and English
Responsibilities
  • Establish process design basis and required operating criteria based on technical specifications and project contract documents
  • Responsible for equipment sizing, mass and heat balance, and performance guarantees for tenders and projects
  • Perform , maintain and update propriety process calculations such as: pressure drop calculations, sizing calculations (ducts, filters, heat exchangers, fans, wet scrubbers), emission calculations, flow and material balance calculations, noise evaluations
  • Writing control philosophy and communicating this with supplier of programming
  • Commissioning and tuning of plants
  • Preparation of TRA (Technical Risk Assessment)
  • Support R&D with trouble shooting, tuning plants on site and collecting and analyzing data
  • Performance testing and evaluations
  • Support procurement including technical bid evaluation, vendor recommendation, purchase order review and vendor design and documentation reviews
  • Provide technical support in meetings with customer, architect/engineer, vendors and other stakeholders
