Job Description Broad Function and Purpose of Position: To develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes for new and existing products in support of Operations. The focus would be on Continuous Improvement of quality and productivity to fulfill customer and market requirements. Specific Responsibilities: Introduce new raw materials, products, and processes Improve production, quality, and packaging efficiency through design of process changes Maintain chemical formulations provided by R&D and ensure process controls and BOM's are congruent to them Understand the chemical make-up of the product, its application, and the impact of the process to long term product stability Recommend equipment improvements by providing specifications and or requirements and controlling through completion Develop work instructions for injection molding processes and systems and conduct training as appropriate. Determine and improve process capabilities by using statistical techniques to meet or exceed customer needs Leader or key member of project and process teams May perform other projects or assignments as required Qualifications Qualifications/Experience: Bachelor of Science in Engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or industrial engineering Minimum of 3 years experience in manufacturing quality and process optimization Strong understanding of statistical process control, statistics, and customer integration Strong customer base quality focused, and data driven Excellent internal and external relationships with all levels of management.
