ABOUT THE COMPANY

MUST-HAVE (CRITICAL CORE SKILLS):

• Bachelor’s in mechanical / civil engineering (or related field)
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or construction industry.
• Proficient in AutoCAD for architectural drafting.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

GOOD-TO-HAVE (EMERGING SKILLS):

• Familiarity with Revit / BIM Modelling for door system integration.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and processes.
• Prior working experience in metal door manufacturing and fire certification testing.

Key roles and responsibilities

1. Technical Support & Product Development

• Partner with the Technical Manager in all technical matters relating to design, manufacturing process control, and new product development.
• Liaise with Professional Engineers to obtain endorsed calculations for pressure-rated or blast-rated door sets.
• Support Sales and Processing departments on technical aspects concerning door performance requirements. (fire, acoustic, structural)

1. Testing & Compliance

• Coordinate fire, acoustic, and mock-up testing (internal/external), inspect test specimens, and interpret results.
• Prepare detailed test report while ensuring timely renewal of Certificates of Conformity.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore standards (BCA) and international certifications (ISO), and other certifications.

1. Process Improvement & Troubleshooting

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective action.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for mechanical and electromechanical systems.

1. Documentation & Project Support

• Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation, including test reports and performance summaries.
• Collaborate with department heads and process supervisors to troubleshoot issues and implement/monitor preventive and corrective actions for continuous improvement.
