Description The Role and Responsibilities As a Process Engineer, your primary role is centered around Keyence Vision Inspection Systems (VIS) where you are responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of all process equipment. In addition to this, you provide support to various project engineering functions as determined by business needs, with particular emphasis on the manufacture and supply of deep drawn components. Part of your responsibilities include assisting the Engineering Manager in driving enhancements in the manufacturing operations. You play a key role in executing projects and process improvements, where you actively identify, prioritize, plan, and implement technical improvement solutions for current products. Your efforts are directed towards enhancing operational safety, quality, and delivery, while also focusing on minimizing costs and adhering to customer and regulatory requirements. Your Key Areas of Impact Operational Efficiency & Safety in Degreasing Process: Utilizing your electrical & mechanical aptitude and attention to detail, you conduct regular and thorough inspections of equipment and implement preventative maintenance strategies. Part of these strategies include defining regular preventative maintenance scheduling in line with the suppliers’ recommended equipment time or volume period. This ensures that the equipment is always operating at its best and helps to avoid any unexpected downtimes. Additionally, you adhere to all safety protocols, maintaining a focus on strong safety awareness. Your actions are pivotal in ensuring a continuous, efficient, and safe working environment, directly addressing any operational issues promptly and effectively. You lead the integration of the Vision into the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and ensure real time data is obtained to accurately define the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Process parameters will be taken from the programmable logic control unit and displayed within the MES to develop Machine learning and AI development. Project Engineering Support for Manufacturing and Supply: Employing your skills in project management and technical knowledge, you effectively support and manage the Vision project installation plan with accurate timelines and resources. Your role also involves contributing to the identification, planning, and implementation of technical solutions that improve the OEE as well as enhancing safety, quality, and delivery efficiency. Using your communication skills, you liaise with different departments, ensuring that projects are not only aligned with company goals but also contribute to the operational excellence of the manufacturing process. Your technical understanding of complex equipment and automated systems is essential in this process. It enables you to provide valuable insights and solutions that are both practical and innovative. Enhancement of Manufacturing Operations: In collaboration with the Engineering Manager, you use your analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to target measurable improvements in operational performance. Your collaborative approach is key in driving these enhancements, contributing significantly to achieving world-class manufacturing standards and impacting the organization's competitive positioning. Execution of Projects and Process Improvements: Leading projects and process improvements within manufacturing operations, you use your structured problem-solving skills and technical expertise to bring about significant advancements in operational safety, quality, and delivery efficiency. Your initiative is crucial for continuous improvement and operational excellence, demonstrating your ability to manage and execute complex projects effectively. Technical Support and Innovation: By identifying, prioritizing, planning, and implementing technical support for current products, you foster advancements in product quality and operational processes. Cost Minimization and Regulatory Compliance: Actively working to minimize operational costs, you ensure adherence to customer and regulatory requirements, using your knowledge of industry standards and cost-effective strategies. Requirements You have received your bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field from an accredited university. You may have five (5) years’ experience in Vision and OT technology, which substitutes for a bachelor’s degree. You have (3) years’ experience with Keyence Camera Systems. You’ve spent at least three (3) years in an engineering position with a focus on industrial or manufacturing processes. You have experience with deep draw metal processing, metallurgy, and basic principles of deep draw component manufacture. You are proficient in industrial technology, such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). You work with a high level of integrity, confidentiality, organization, and time management. You are also proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. The Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Travel Your work is conducted primarily in a dynamic manufacturing setting, requiring flexibility to work in both office and production floor environments, where exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and varying temperatures is common, necessitating the use of appropriate personal protective equipment and adherence to safety protocols. This job requires remaining in a stationary position 10% of the time, whether standing or sitting, and moving about inside the facility. This job requires manual dexterity, as it involves operating equipment, tools, or controls, and handling or manipulating objects. The job involves both close-up work and monitoring processes from a distance, as well as identifying and distinguishing colors. The ability to discern various sounds and alarms is crucial for maintaining safety and operational efficiency. This job requires operating a computer 50% of the time. This job requires the ability to be able to lift to 35 lbs.
