As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to lead key initiatives that enhance throughput, reduce waste, and elevate plant performance.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Process Improvement Engineer will lead cross-functional projects focused on increasing line efficiency, improving production flow, and implementing lean manufacturing principles across our high-speed frozen food facility. This role is hands-on and highly visible, working closely with operations, maintenance, quality assurance, and packaging teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3–7 years of experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment (food, beverage, or CPG preferred).
  • Proven track record of leading throughput or waste reduction initiatives with measurable results.
  • Hands-on experience implementing Lean tools such as 5S, root cause analysis, value stream mapping, SMED, and visual factory.
  • Familiarity with USDA/FDA regulations and food safety environments.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills; familiarity with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics NAV a plus).
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks through process mapping, time studies, and data analysis.
  • Lead and execute continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to improve equipment uptime, reduce changeover time (SMED), and enhance overall line performance (OEE).
  • Analyze shift-level production and downtime data to drive actionable improvements.
  • Design and refine line layouts and workflows to improve material flow and labor efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain standardized work instructions and SOPs.
  • Provide training and support to line leads and operators on new processes and improvements.
  • Support capital projects and minor automation upgrades to streamline operations.
