The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for leading and supporting process improvement initiatives across airline catering operations. This role focuses on improving efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost performance in a fast-paced, time-sensitive production environment. This position requires a hands-on approach and is accountable for delivering measurable, data-driven results that support operational performance and customer satisfaction. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction, productivity improvement, quality, and on-time performance Analyze operational data to identify inefficiencies, trends, and improvement opportunities Implement Lean methodologies including 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Standard Work, and TPM Conduct time and motion studies and recommend labor planning and process improvements Develop, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) Prepare operational reports and dashboards for leadership and airline customers, as applicable Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) Standardize processes to ensure consistency across shifts and locations Partner with Production, Planning, Supply Chain, Logistics, Customer Service, and FSQ teams Support food safety, quality, regulatory, and airline compliance requirements Train supervisors, managers, and frontline employees on continuous improvement tools and practices Promote a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement MISSION & CORE VALUES At Abby’s Catering, our mission is to deliver exceptional food and service while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and reliability in everything we do. High Standards: We hold ourselves to the highest level of quality, professionalism, and operational excellence Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in continuous improvement, operational excellence, or process improvement Experience in airline catering, food manufacturing, or high-volume production environments preferred Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools (Power BI, Minitab, or similar preferred) Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT Combination of office and production floor work Frequent walking, standing, and observation in food production and warehouse environments Exposure to cold environments, noise, and food production equipment Flexible schedule may be required based on operational needs
