Description BCCS is seeking a full-time Process Improvement Manager Who are We: Since 1985, Brandywine Counseling & Community Services, Inc. We promote hope and empowerment to persons and families touched by mental illness, substance abuse, HIV and multiple occurring diagnoses, and their related challenges. What You'll Do at Brandywine Counseling: Design and implement new programs and pilot program initiatives Assist in the identification of specific organizational needs and priorities related to process and quality improvement utilizing a variety of sources including, but not limited to measurement data, incident reports, client/employee suggestions, team recommendations, comparative data, regulatory and accreditation standards/reports, and knowledge-based information. Coordinate, facilitate, and document system-level performance improvement teams and initiatives. Coordinate, facilitate, and ensure implementation and monitoring of program- and department-level performance improvement teams and initiatives. Responsible for implementation, management, and quality of outcomes for QA-managed DSAMH SOR programs and pilot programs across all BCCS treatment centers, and managing peers working under those programs to ensure quality, efficient, and appropriate provision of care and services for clients served consistent with program requirements and performance objectives Create and/or utilize databases, spreadsheets, EMR reports, or other means, as appropriate, to aggregate and submit required data to external agencies and internal stakeholders for reporting Evaluate quality measures, outcomes, and improve processes. Facilitates implementation of quality improvement initiatives, and coordinates, manages, and documents activities of performance improvement teams Assists managers in developing and monitoring program performance targets and policies and standards Provides direction to, supervise and evaluate via regular observation and annual performance reviews Liaises and cooperates with standards bodies; preparing for licensure, contract and/or accreditation reviews; as well as other stakeholders aimed at increasing contracts and funds Seeks ways to improve overall efficiency of the organization with goal of reducing overhead expenses and improving client outcomes wherever possible Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Project management and team facilitation experience preferred Process Improvement and Quality Methodology experience preferred Healthcare experience (SUD) preferred Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Presentation skills Ability to handle several projects simultaneously Quantitative analytical skills Ability to work independently and within a team environment Organized with attention to detail Microsoft Office applications Ability to view opportunities for improvement through a systems perspective Requirements Qualifications for this position are: REQUIRED: Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Human Services or a Related Field Preferred: Master’s Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Human Services or a Related Field REQUIRED: 2 years supervisory experience Preferred: Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification. If not CPHQ certified, then certification is required within 24 months of employment. Pay: Starting at $33/hour Commensurate with experience, education, and certification Schedule: Monday – Friday From 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (some flexibility) Position is 90% remote. 10% onsite for program management at various BCCS locations. Some additional onsite for accreditation surveys.
