PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction began in May 2021, and first series of production commenced in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities. Job Description Develop and optimize burn-in test procedures for semiconductor devices, components, or systems. Support on Designing burn-in boards, fixtures, and test hardware. Analyze burn-in data to identify failure trends and root causes. Define burn-in conditions (temperature, voltage, duration, stress levels) according to product requirements. Troubleshoot hardware and process issues in burn-in operations. Support qualification and reliability testing (HTOL, HAST, temperature cycling, etc.). Ensure compliance with industry standards (JEDEC, MIL-STD, IPC). Automate data collection and reporting for yield and reliability analysis. Develop, program, and optimize AOI inspection programs for PCB assemblies. Set up and maintain AOI equipment (2D/3D inspection systems). Analyze defect data and improve detection capability while reducing false rejects. Troubleshoot AOI hardware, software, and vision-related issues. Support new product introduction (NPI) by creating AOI programs and validation plans. Monitor AOI performance metrics (FPY, false call rate, escape rate). Drive continuous improvement to reduce cost, cycle time, and failure rates. Responsible for pre-acceptance and release machines incl. support in setup, fine tuning, sustaining and maintenance. Mechanical, electrical alignment of the equipment according to supplier specification First contact person regarding appointments with equipment suppliers and regarding questions of the equipment suppliers. Monitoring of due dates. Technical discussions with supplier, engineering. Develop measures to reduce failures, to improve quality and output and to reduce costs together with the engineering Support improvement activities: Actively cooperate in improvement projects, bring in suggestions to improve production KPIs, like CT/ Output, Yield/OEE, Budget/Cost, reduce failures (MTBF, MTTR, down times) and improve quality Support and train Operators/Technician (as per Work Instruction) and execution of maintenance activities. 8D responsibility and hold lots dispose Align all changes with lead plant engineering Support FMEA and Control Plan Ensure spare part availability Execute any other related duties assigned by immediate supervisor from time to time. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering. 3-5 years of hands-on experience in relevant engineering functions.
