Description
The candidate must possess in-depth functional knowledge of the process area and apply it to operational scenarios to provide effective solutions. The candidate must be able to identify discrepancies and propose optimal solutions by using a logical, systematic, and sequential methodology. It is vital to be open-minded towards inputs and views from team members and to effectively lead, control, and motivate groups towards company objects. Additionally, the candidate must be self-directed, proactive, and seize every opportunity to meet internal and external customer needs and achieve customer satisfaction by effectively auditing processes, implementing best practices and process improvements, and utilizing the frameworks and tools available. Goals and thoughts must be clearly and concisely articulated and conveyed, verbally and in writing, to clients, colleagues, subordinates, and supervisors. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team responsible for travel bookings, including flights, hotels, transportation, and visa formalities. Ensure the team follows prescribed travel policies and customer service standards. Organize end-to-end travel logistics for staff, executives, and guests, encompassing all modalities (air, rail, car, hotel, visa, forex etc.). Handle urgent or last-minute travel changes and emergencies promptly and calmly. Negotiate favourable rates and terms with travel and accommodation vendors to maximize cost efficiency. Maintain relationships with travel agencies, hotel partners, and external service providers, and manage contractual agreements. Develop, implement, and continually refine corporate travel policies and processes. Ensure all travel activities adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations. Regularly communicate policy updates to staff and stakeholders. Review and approve travel expense reports and vendor bills with proper supporting & approval in place, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Maintain up-to-date travel records, documentation, Invoice & Credit note DATA and reports for finance, HR, and management. Analyse travel data for trends and recommendations on improving travel efficiency and effectiveness. Serve as the main point of contact for travel queries and issues, providing excellent support and communication. Ensure all travellers are updated with detailed itineraries and pertinent travel information. Required knowledge and skills: Any graduate with 8+ years of experience into Travel Desk Creative and flexible thinker able to provide – and receive -- innovative solutions Good communication skills
