We are currently seeking experienced Process Operators with a valid 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate to join our Central Alberta operations team. Position Overview Reporting to the General Manager-Industrial Services Division, the Process Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of processing equipment and systems. This role involves 12-hour rotating shifts on a 14–20 day schedule, with both day and night shifts available. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of safety and performance. Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor plant and field equipment to ensure efficient and safe production. Perform routine checks, readings, and process adjustments to maintain stable operations. Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in coordination with maintenance teams. Complete and maintain accurate logs, reports, and shift handovers. Support plant startup and shutdown procedures following established protocols. Ensure adherence to all company safety, environmental, and quality standards. Participate in safety meetings, hazard assessments, and emergency response exercises. Provide mentorship and support to junior operators as required. Foster a culture of teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement. Qualifications & Experience Valid 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate (minimum). 10+ years of relevant experience in process operations (oil & gas, petrochemical, or power generation preferred). Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with control systems (DCS/PLC). Proven ability to work effectively in a rotational, remote, or team-based environment. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and safety awareness skills. Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing. Work Conditions 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights). One 14–20 day rotation with possibility for extension. Camp accommodations and meals provided (where applicable).
