PureChem Services, the production chemical division of CES Energy Solutions, is looking for a self-motivated and experienced individual to fill the position of Process Operator at our Nisku Scavenger Plant. This full-time, permanent position is located in Nisku, Alberta and reports directly to the Plant Manager. Working hours are rotating 8-hour shifts including some evening and weekend shifts, additional overtime work may be required.

REQUIRED SKILLSET:

  • 1-3 years hands-on blending/manufacturing experience, preferably in the chemical, food & beverage, or petrochemical industry.
  • Understands operations of pumps, heat exchangers and control panels.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency of assigned tasks.
  • Ability to safely operate a loader or skid steer.
  • Actively participate in the health and safety program.
  • Able to perform minor maintenance is an asset.
  • Close proximity to Nisku.

Responsibilities
  • Operate the manufacturing process for the various chemical products.
  • Follow procedures and document the workflow in the manufacturing process which includes raw materials preparation, vessel loading, reaction control and monitoring, management of storage tanks for finished products.
  • Supervision of incoming and out going product shipments.
  • Notifies supervisor of equipment malfunction or process issues when necessary.
  • Records data from instruments and gauges concerning temperature, pressures and others.
  • Follow safety and health procedures including proper use of PPE: goggles, gloves, and other apparatus required for the safe completion of the job.
  • Ensure all equipment and workstations are in good working order, clean and free of any safety hazards.
  • Able to work courteously with others in a team environment.
  • Other duties as required.
