Description

Overview The Process Operator in PepsiCo manufacturing operations is responsible for operating and monitoring production processing equipment to ensure efficient conversion of raw materials into finished products while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards. The role supports continuous production by controlling process parameters, monitoring equipment performance, maintaining food safety compliance, and ensuring adherence to operational KPIs and production targets. The position works closely with Front Line Managers (FLM), Quality, Maintenance, and Packaging teams to maintain production efficiency and product quality across shifts. Responsibilities Production & Process Operations Operate and monitor processing equipment such as slicers, fryers, seasoning systems, and conveyors. Ensure correct process parameters (temperature, speed, seasoning rate, oil levels) are maintained during production. Convert raw materials into finished products according to defined production specifications and recipes. Quality Assurance Conduct hourly quality checks (color, texture, seasoning coverage, breakage). Ensure products meet PepsiCo quality standards and product specifications. Record and report quality results through production or QMS systems. Equipment Monitoring & Troubleshooting Monitor equipment performance and take corrective action during process deviations. Perform basic troubleshooting and minor equipment adjustments to maintain smooth production. Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs and preventive maintenance. Safety & Compliance Follow PepsiCo safety procedures, PPE requirements, and LOTO standards. Maintain safe working conditions around hot oil, moving machinery, and processing equipment. Report hazards, incidents, or near-misses and participate in safety initiatives. Data Recording & Reporting Record production data such as downtime, run time, yield, waste, and quality metrics. Maintain accurate documentation of process performance and production results. Support continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and waste. Hygiene & Food Safety Maintain GMP, HACCP, and sanitation standards in the processing area. Ensure hygiene compliance to prevent contamination or allergen risks. Maintain good housekeeping (5S) on the production floor. Coordination & Team Support Coordinate with packaging operators and shift supervisors to maintain production flow. Support product changeovers, line cleaning, and start-up/shutdown procedures. Contribute to shift meetings and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Education Diploma or Technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Technology (or equivalent technical education). Experience Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG production, or industrial processing environments. Experience operating automated or high-speed production machinery is preferred. Technical Skills Knowledge of processing equipment operation and troubleshooting. Understanding of process parameters and production KPIs. Ability to work with production monitoring systems or computerized records. Quality & Safety Knowledge Understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards. Strong focus on safety compliance and operational discipline. Soft Skills Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work in shift-based manufacturing environments. Good teamwork and communication skills.
