DESCRIPTION:

About the role
This is a casual role, working up to 38 hours per week Monday to Friday between 6:00am and 6:00pm at our Wellcamp site.
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, this role will be responsible for the end-to-end running of the food processing and packing line requirements that are aligned to achieve production targets. You will embrace challenges, be a dynamic self-starter and be passionate about supporting a collaborative working environment our culture and our values.

Responsibilities

  • Performing pre-operative checks and equipment set up to ensure production timelines run to schedule.
  • Working in Medium Care and Low Care areas
  • Machine operation and trouble shooting
  • Perform on-line Quality checks
  • Cleaning and basic maintenance of machines and equipment
  • Following all food safety regulations and WI’s
  • Assisting in other areas of the factory when required

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Essential Criteria
A technical and problem-solving attitude towards food manufacturing
The ability to work unsupervised

Experience with HACCP and GMP

  • Ability to work in cold environments
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Good team player
  • Ability to be flexible in a shift work environment
  • Food Processing Certification desirable

Follow all safe work practices in line with company policies and procedures

Desirable Criteria

  • Forklift licence is desirable
  • Certificate 3 in Food Processing is desirable
