SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated Team Leader to join our dynamic team at NJ Screen Prints Ltd. Located in Hinckley, this role is vital in ensuring that our printed garments are accurately packed and prepared for shipping. By ensuring that your team members have the materials they need ready for their tasks, and have the skills and knowledge to succeed; you will enable the team to achieve their output targets. Your contribution will create an environment and install the behaviours that directly support our mission of delivering high-quality products to our valued customers.

REQUIREMENTS

  • An ability to work rotating shift patterns alternating weekly between 05.30 - 14.00 and 13.45 - 22.15. Both shifts are required.
  • Proven experience in process and packing, ideally in an FMCG factory/warehouse environment.
  • Strong attention to detail for monitoring work flow and quality control processes.
  • Ability to handle lifting, movement of boxes, cages and garments safely.
  • Familiarity with ERP management systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities
  • Motivate, support, guide and develop individuals on performance and behaviours.
  • Carry out department Health and safety checks
  • Ensure the correct storage and use of hazardous goods
  • Report equipment defects using the maintenance portal
  • Promote and ensure the department practices good house-keeping including monitoring waste and recycling.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety environment and security requirements.
  • Prepare work for processing, ensuring each team has work planned and the correct resources are located at the workstation.
  • Maintain a continuous flow of work to each team.
  • Work towards resolving process and team issues within 1 hour before seeking guidance from the manager.
  • Work with the packing manager on the resolution of any critical risk issues identified which may delay objectives.
  • Ensure teams understand and deliver the objectives set, by working towards and achieving targets, relating to departmental KPI’s
  • Set and lead by example, high standards of behaviour and performance within the department.
  • Brief team at start of shift on work/required targets.
  • Work with the training coordinator with on-the-job training for new starters and other team members
  • Monitor individual performance during shift and respond or escalate accordingly.
  • Update packing production flow throughout the shift
